According to this article;
“Linux-infused netbooks get returned four times as often as units with Windows XP”.
We really can’t blame people for it, but I still feel sad that those same people would prefer an outdated and insecure operating system for their netbooks. And again, those same people would also prefer Vista or Windows 7 over Linux even though the learning curve’s practically the same.
And please don’t tell me it’s used for gaming… gaming on a netbook? Give me a break!
Specialized Windows apps? Like what? the only apps I can’t run on my Ubuntu are AutoCAD and Photoshop CS3, but those are overkill on a netbook. Are all netbook users engineers then? Or designers who need to latest Photoshop?
