A whole year of Farscape

My dad (when he was still here in the Philippines) usually asks me every December what I have accomplished for the whole year. It’s really a tradition in our family. I really miss those heart-to-heart talk simply because this year, I did manage to do something worthwhile…. watch and finish the whole 5 Seasons of Farscape. A few hours ago, I just finished watching the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series.

When AXN Asia started showing them a few years back, I was immediately hooked to John Crichton. When they cancelled the show, I emailed them asking for more. Unfortunately, their license to show them on TV expired. So I waited for months for another station to show them. Months dragged into years. And then I got fed up. I searched for Farscape and stumbled upon Veoh.

I started downloading and watching them January this year – well, at least during the weekend. And when Veoh decided to lock their downloads to a proprietary method, Daniel stepped up and became a hero to the free world by bringing us OpenVeoh. That was a minor setback, I suffered for one whole month. But I was an addict looking for more. My thirst for Farscape is insatiable. I’m just glad I didn’t have to suffer no more.

And today, that thirst was quenched. I’m done with it, but still hoping for more. And my prayers were answered…. Webisodes! The Sci-Fi channel‘s kind enough to give us. Well, let’s see what happens next year.
